Hi, I'm Andriy.
I'm a software developer who progressed all the way up to CEO, and I built Perfect Resume because the way most experienced professionals approach their resume is stuck in 2005.
Why this exists
Over the past year, several friends who were looking for a new role asked me to help polish their CVs. Every time, the exercise was the same: read the document, ask “which job are you actually applying for?”, then rewrite half of it to fit that opportunity. Then repeat the whole thing the next week for the next role.
By the third or fourth pass with the same friend, the inefficiency became impossible to ignore. Trying to hammer one CV into a shape that fits dozens of different job descriptions belongs to the previous era - it's slow, it waters down the strongest material, and it asks the candidate to do work the software should be doing.
The work that actually matters is capturing the most relevant facts about your career once, then reassembling them differently for each opportunity. That single insight is the whole product.
A bit of background
I'm the co-founder of PortaOne, a telecom software company that's been quietly powering carriers in 90+ countries for over twenty years. We didn't raise VC money. We didn't chase headlines. Back in the early 2000s, we adopted a “radical openness” policy - giving customers full access to our source code and making all our documentation publicly available - long before that became trendy. We solved problems, shipped products, and stuck around long enough to outlive the hype cycles.
That experience shaped how I build software: pragmatic over flashy, transparent over magical, and durable over viral. You'll find the same fingerprints all over Perfect Resume - every AI edit comes with a rationale, no black-box magic, and your fact library is yours to inspect and refine.
Why now
We're living through an extraordinary moment for software. AI-powered tooling lets a single person, or a really small team, launch products that used to require a department. The same shift applies to how you present yourself as a candidate: with the right system, you can speak directly to each employer instead of blasting the same document at the whole market.
Perfect Resume is my attempt to make that practical for experienced professionals - the engineers, product managers, and operators who already have the substance, and just need a faster, more honest way to translate it into application-ready documents for every job they care about.
